Liberty Principles PAC recently released a radio ad to raise awareness about rising property taxes around Illinois.
“Your property taxes go up, your home value goes down,” the ad states. “The government takes your home. Rich, poor, Republican, Democrat, we’re all the same when it comes to property taxes.”
The ad draws attention to independent candidates who support property tax reform.
“You either force politicians who oppose property tax caps out of office or they force you out of Illinois,” the ad claims.
The organization lists several homeowner’s tax payments on its website, including the cost of their home and a link to stories and audio from residents claiming the tax rates have forced them to move out of Illinois.
The site also promotes a one percent tax cap and names 19 candidates that have made tax reform central to their election promises.
