U.S. House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-Lousiana)
State Republican Party leaders are encouraging supporters to turn out en masse for the 2019 Illinois Republican Day Rally at the State Fair on Aug. 15 on the Director’s Lawn at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, where House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana) will serve as special guest and keynote speaker.
“We are excited to have Steve Scalise as our keynote speaker,” organizers said in a press release, where they noted doors for the event will open at 11:30 a.m. and Scalise will be joined on the microphone by members of Illinois Republican leadership. “Come hear their vision for fighting against the machine in Springfield and D.C. as we look to Keep America Great and rebuild Illinois.”
Prior to the start of the rally, a free BBQ lunch will be served where participants must register in advance to receive their free ticket for the event. Sponsorships for the event range from $150 per individual to $5,000 for host status.
