The Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves defeated the Joliet Central Steelmen 16–15 in a varsity softball non-conference game.
The matchup was notable for its high-scoring and competitive nature, with both teams exchanging leads throughout the contest. The Red Wolves ultimately secured the victory by holding off Joliet Central’s late offensive push.
The game took place on April 1, at Thornton Fractional South High School, according to MaxPreps. The Red Wolves outlasted Joliet Central in a high-scoring back-and-forth contest, putting up 16 runs to secure the win. Camilla Rosas led Thornton Fractional South with a .632 batting average and a .895 slugging percentage, delivering key hits throughout the game. Simayah Ethridge contributed by reaching base consistently with a perfect 1.000 on-base percentage. Despite Joliet Central’s strong offensive effort, the Red Wolves held on late to complete the narrow victory, according to MaxPreps.
