House Minority Leader Tony McCombie spent time in the 89th District during the week of May 2. With the Illinois House out of session, McCombie visited with students, hosted events for constituents, and met with community groups. She also attended a multi-agency resource event organized to support those affected by the recent tornado in Lena.

The activities offered McCombie an opportunity to engage directly with residents of her district while legislative work was paused. Her schedule included both educational visits and community outreach events.

McCombie is a Republican who was elected to represent Illinois’ 89th House District in 2023, succeeding Andrew Chesney according to available information.

The week’s activities highlighted local recovery efforts following severe weather in Lena. Community members gathered at the resource event for information and assistance related to tornado relief efforts.

As recovery continues in affected areas, officials are expected to maintain their focus on providing resources and support for residents.
