United Township High School District 30 announced on Apr. 27 that information and registration materials for the upcoming sports summer camps are now available online. Those interested can access both digital and printable forms to register for the programs.

The announcement is important for students and families looking to participate in athletic activities during the summer months. It provides an opportunity for students to engage in sports, develop skills, and stay active while school is out of session.

The district represents Rock Island and Henry counties, with United Township High School as part of its system, according to the Illinois Report Card. The high school district serves grades nine through twelve and enrolled 1,705 students in the 2019-2020 academic year. It is located in East Moline within Rock Island County.

Teacher demographics show there are a total of 96 teachers in United Township High School District 30 earning an average salary of $65,666 before pension contributions; women make up about 48.3 percent of this group while men account for approximately 51.7 percent. No teachers had more than ten absences during a school year, according to data from the Illinois State Board of Education.

Student diversity statistics indicate that the district population is comprised of approximately 51.3 percent White students, with Black students making up around sixteen percent, Hispanic students at twenty-five point five percent, and Asian students representing nearly three percent according to ISBE. In terms of spending, United Township High School District 30 allocated $19,622 per student in fiscal year 2020—totaling over $33 million overall.

Attendance data shows that seventy-eight students were classified as “chronically truant” during the same period—a rate of four point six percent—compared with a statewide average chronic truancy rate of nine point six percent as reported by ISBE. “Chronically truant” refers to missing five percent or more of required school days without valid excuse.
