Village of Deer Park seeks summer intern for building and finance departments

The Village of Deer Park announced on May 5 that it is seeking a summer intern to support both the Building and Finance Departments.

This position is intended to provide hands-on experience in municipal operations, with the intern assisting with document management, data management, customer service at the Building Department window, and various administrative and clerical tasks. The role is designed for individuals who are motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills. Effective communication with staff and the public is also required.

According to the announcement, proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn are important qualifications for candidates. The position will be seasonal part-time work at 20-30 hours per week with pay ranging from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.
