The games are scheduled for Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, at Cougar Field.
This series is significant as Western Illinois seeks to secure a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament for the first time in program history. The Leathernecks currently hold eighth place in the conference standings with an overall record of 13–29 and a conference record of 8–15. SIUE stands third with a record of 25–25 overall and 16–8 in conference play.
