William B. Gillund, aged 97 and a U.S. Army Veteran, passed away on July 3, 2025, in Tinley Park, IL. A long-time parishioner of St. George Church in Tinley Park, he was known for his love of golfing and cherished spending time with family. William was the beloved husband of the late Geraldine A. Gillund and the loving father of Kathleen Gillund.
He is survived by his siblings Bonnie and Carol Gillund, and was preceded in death by Terry, Roger, Jimmy, and Kenneth Gillund, as well as his parents, William and Matilda Gillund.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Church in Tinley Park. Interment will be private.
