Willkie Farr & Gallagher announced on Apr. 16 that it advised Service Compression in the acquisition of most assets from Axip Energy Services, LP.

The transaction involved Service Compression, a company providing natural gas compression services, acquiring Axip’s assets through a court-supervised Chapter 11 sale process. The deal was made under a stalking horse agreement and is intended to help Service Compression build a larger, technology-enabled, full-service compression platform.

Axip Energy Services also provides natural gas compression services to upstream and midstream customers. The acquisition marks another step for Service Compression as it seeks to expand its operations and service offerings in the sector.

The legal team from Willkie working on this transaction was led by partners Jon Platt, Erin Kaufman and Jeffrey Pawlitz. Associates Joseph Brandt, Katherine Lubrano and Katerina Ganasoulis were also part of the team.
