Willkie Farr & Gallagher was recognized on Apr. 27 as the leading firm for client service among private equity practices in London, according to a recent survey conducted by Legal Business.
The ranking is based on research carried out by Legal 500 and highlights Willkie’s excellence across ten different client service metrics, including resourcing, efficiency, and associate quality. This recognition matters because it reflects how law firms are meeting the needs of clients in an increasingly competitive market.
Gavin Gordon, Chair of Willkie’s European Private Equity Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, said to Legal Business that the team’s outstanding efficiency comes from the broad range of its practice. “Whenever you’re doing a deal, there is a potential client on the other side of the table,” Gordon told Legal Business. “We never want to be seen as an impediment to any transaction and finding solutions to complex issues is an easy way to demonstrate your skillset.”
According to Willkie Farr & Gallagher, their experience working across various deal sizes and structures allows them to tailor services specifically for each client while providing strong counsel during transactions. The diversity of work also supports associates in developing versatile skills that help them contribute effectively even when deals have tight deadlines or involve multiple teams.
Legal Business published these findings in an article titled “The Art of the Buyout: How Clients Rank London’s Top Private Equity Teams.”
Looking ahead, this recognition may further strengthen Willkie’s reputation among clients seeking tailored legal advice for complex transactions.
