Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration:
EDUCATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD
Lynne Sered will continue to serve on the Educational Labor Relations Board.* Sered has served on the Educational Labor Relations Board since 2000. Sered previously served as Legal Director of the American Jewish Congress, Regional Director of the Jewish Labor Committee and Domestic Affairs Associate at the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. She additionally worked as Counsel to Board Member Wilford W. Johansen at the National Labor Relations Board, and as Associate at Scariano, Kula, Ellch and Himes. Sered is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Jewish Women's Foundation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University and Juris Doctorate from DePaul University School of Law.
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR AND PUBLIC GUARDIAN
David Wentworth will serve as Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Peoria and Woodford Counties.* Wentworth serves as the Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Peoria County, having been appointed by the Governor in June 2013. He is also a partner with Hasselberg Grebe Snodgrass Urban & Wentworth in Peoria. Wentworth focuses his practice on elder law and guardianships, probate, contested estates, business and commercial law, business organizations, bankruptcy law, collections and foreclosures, real estate law including land use and zoning, agricultural law and environmental law. He is a member of the Peoria County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Michigan. Wentworth is a past Chairman of the Proctor Health Care Foundation Board of Trustees, and presently serves on the Board of the Unity Point Health Methodist Proctor Foundation. He recently completed ten years of serving on the Board of Directors of the Community Workshop & Training Center, and continues to serve on its Human Rights Committee. Wentworth is a past Chairman of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness for the Third District. He attended Albion College and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit School of Law.
STATE BOARD OF HEALTH
Nathan Hoffman will serve on the State Board of Health.* Hoffman is the current founder, CEO and practicing dentist of both Hoffman Cosmetics and The Chicago Dental Studio. He previously worked as a dentist at Lakeview Smiles, Oaklawn Dentist Center and Cumberland Dental. Hoffman is a member of the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society. Hoffman earned his Bachelor's Degree in Human Physiology and Exercise Science, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa.
