Rep. Tim Butler announced that his campaign to represent the people of the newly created 95th District had gained a new endorsement.
In a May 20 Facebook post, Butler announced how his family has been in the agriculture business and thus, knowing its importance, he will stand up for the farmers in his re-election campaign.
"Those of us with Central Illinois roots know the importance of our rich, black soil. My family's business depended on agriculture. I know well the role our farmers play in the world. I fight for Illinois farm families. I'm honored to be ENDORSED by Illinois Farm Bureau ACTIVATOR for my work at the State Capitol," said Butler.
The Illinois Farm Bureau ACTIVATOR announced their endorsement of Butler in a May 19 Facebook post: "ENDORSEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: State Representative Tim Butler of Springfield is the endorsed candidate for Illinois' 95th State House district. During his time in office, Butler has been a strong supporter of Illinois farmers. Vote Tim Butler on or before Jun. 28!"
In January, Butler announced he would run for re-election in the newly-created 95th District. He did so in a Jan. 10 Facebook post, which included a video. In the caption, he wrote: “Today I announced that I'll run for election in the new 95th District, which contains parts of Christian, Macon, and Sangamon counties. I look forward to running in this new district and to continue to serve as your voice at the State Capitol.”
Butler has also received endorsement from law enforcement in his new district "It is an honor to be endorsed by Sheriffs throughout the new district in which I live and am running (95th) and the district I currently represent (87th)," Butler said in a recent Facebook post. "Like my friends Jack Campbell for Sheriff (Sangamon County) and Mark Oller — Menard County Sheriff — I am grateful for their work to protect our citizens. I'll never 'defund' nor 'disarm" our police. I'll always #BackTheBlue through my votes and actions."
