Trafalgar Group reported in a study that Illinois voters were likely to vote for Gubernatorial Candidate Darren Bailey.
“These results are because of you,” Bailey wrote on Facebook. “The Trafalgar Group accurately predicted Trump’s win in 2016 and more.”
He tweeted a digital collage of his opponent in the Illinois Gubernatorial race, calling out who Aurora Mayor Richard Ivrin’s “friends” are.
“It’s #nationalbestfriendday and we noticed Democrat Irvin forgot to make a post, so the Bailey Team put this together for him and his friends,” the Tweet read in part. “Friends, we deserve a nominee who is actually a Republican and will reform Springfield and restore Illinois. It’s time for change. #twill.”
He included pictures of Irvin with Gov. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, both Democrats.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported three leading anti-abortion groups, Illinois Family Action, Illinois Federation for Right to Life and Illinois Citizens for Life, endorsed Bailey in April.
He has also called for the creation of an election integrity task force.
“Friends, it's important that we ensure election integrity. The best way we can do that is to have trained poll watchers. Please sign up to join our Election Integrity Task Force. We have some great volunteers who will train you and ensure you can be successful in helping secure our elections,” Bailey posted.
AAA reported the new over $4.00 per gallon effects pumps all over the nation and Bailey voiced interest for wanting to lower the price by calling for a special session of the Illinois General Assembly, WAND reported.
“Illinois has the second-highest gas tax in the country and working families pay the price for the lack of courage and conservative leadership,” Bailey said to WAND. “A tax that contributes to the rising cost of food at grocery stores and everyday items that families need to get by.”
His stance on the Firearm Owner Identification Card (FOID) has not changed. He is still calling for the FOID to go away.
“I can’t say this enough, VOID THE FOID!!! It’s not time to reform and add more bureaucracy to a broken, unconstitutional system, it’s time to eliminate it and allow all law-abiding Illinoisans the opportunity to exercise their Second Amendment rights!!! #standingwithyouin2022” tweeted Bailey.
