About the TTM App
Illinois Extension developed the Terrific Teachable Moments app to be a useful teaching tool that encourages or discourages specific child behaviors right when they occur. Once downloaded to a smart device, it can be used by parents, childcare providers, and teachers directly without the need for an active WiFi or internet connection whenever a teachable situation arises.
The TTM app includes more than 150 activity-based mini-lessons, each of which can be completed in less than 10 minutes. The lessons are based on the 4-H Youth Development experiential learning framework, which leads children to take part in a short activity, reflect on the experience, and then apply what they learn by relating it to real-life situations.
For more information about the TTM app, please contact Tessa Hobbs-Curley or Susan Sloop. The App is available for Android and IOS smart devices.
