Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration
State Board of Elections
Jack Vrett will serve as a Member of the State Board of Elections.* Vrett currently serves as a Partner at Honigman LLP. He served in the United States Army from 2009-2014, during which time he held multiple positions including Chief of Federal Litigation, Chief of International Operational Law, and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. His expertise includes labor and employment law, counseling, and litigation. Prior to joining Honigman, Vrett was the Chief Labor and Employment counsel for the State of Illinois. He is an appointed board member for the Wheeling Township Mental Health Board and is a Judge Advocate for Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 981. Vrett received a Bachelor of Science in Communications and History from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School.
Jennifer Ballard Croft will serve as a Member of the State Board of Elections.* Croft has a fifteen year career working in employment and labor law. She currently serves as the Chief People Officer and General Counsel for Resources Innovation, Inc. In these roles, she leads the company's human resources, recruiting, and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. She also provides strategic legal counsel to internal clients and executive management expertise on various contracting and legal risks. Croft also has legal and management experience from her work at Intren, LLC and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. She is involved in several professional organizations, serving as a Diversity Advisory Board Member with UCAN, an organization that supports youths and their families that have experienced trauma. She was also a Fellow with Leadership Greater Chicago. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Spelman College and a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
