Gov. Pritzker Announces One Appointment to Boards and Commissions

Preston Wolin will continue to serve as a Member of the Workers' Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board.* Dr. Wolin's expertise in workers' compensation includes lecturing and writing on work injuries to doctors, lawyers, nurses, insurance companies, and public servants for more than 25 years. Dr. Wolin completed a Rotating Surgical Internship and an Orthopedic Surgical Residency at Northwestern University. He went on to finish two Fellowships: one in Arthroscopic and Knee Reconstructive Surgery at Newton Wellesley/Tufts University and the other in Sports Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard University. Dr. Wolin returned to Illinois and has practiced Orthopedic Sports medicine for over 30 years. 

He became an Associate Clinical Professor in Orthopedics and Director of the Orthopedic Sports medicine Fellowship at the University of Illinois. Dr. Wolin serves as Team Physician for the Chicago Fire, Chicago Red Stars, U.S. Soccer, DePaul University, Loyola University, Chicago State University, Roosevelt University, and various high schools. He has been the Chairman of the Illinois State Medical Society's Workers Compensation Taskforce and continues to serve as a member. Dr. Wolin has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Orthopedic Surgeons. He had served as a member of the Medical Fee Advisory Board of the Workers Compensation Commission since 2016. Dr. Wolin graduated from Princeton University Magna Cum Laude in Public and International Affairs and received his Medical degree from the University of Illinois.
