On July 18, 2024, the Budget Committee met at The Michael A. Bilandic Building, 160 N. LaSalle Street, Room N-502, Chicago, Illinois and at the ICJIA Offices, 524 South 2nd Street, Suite 220, Springfield, Illinois to discuss and take actions regarding:

1. Minutes of the June 20, 2024, Budget Committee Meeting 

The Budget Committee approved the minutes of the June 20, 2024, Budget Committee meeting with the following correction:

On Page 11 of the minutes / Page 12 of the meeting materials, in the first paragraph the reference to Loyola University Chicago, Center for Urban Research was changed to Loyola Center for Criminal Justice.

2. Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention 

New Designations

The Budget Committee designated $860,866 in SFY25 Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention (CBVIP) funds to entities to support implementation of the community-based violence prevention programming as detailed in the table below.

B. Illinois Prison Project New Designation

The Budget Committee designated $500,000 in SFY25 VPR funds to the Illinois Prison Project to implement the Medical Release Program.

The Budget Committee designated $1,450,000 in SFY25 GRF VPYE funds to the following entities to support implementation of the violence prevention programs, youth employment programs, and operational expenses as detailed in the table below.
