Rock band Def Leppard is set to perform at the Illinois State Fair on August 16, 2025. Known for their high-energy performances and classic hits, the band will entertain fans with songs like "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Photograph," and "Love Bites."
Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming performance, stating, "Our team has worked hard to elevate the quality of musical acts at the Grandstand during the Illinois State Fair. Def Leppard has a core memory tied to every one of their songs. For me, it's 'Photograph.' I'm looking forward to taking it all in at the Illinois State Fair."
Def Leppard's lineup includes Joe Elliott (vocals), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick Savage (bass), Vivian Campbell (guitar), and Rick Allen (drums). The band has sold over 110 million albums worldwide and received two U.S. Diamond Awards.
Since making their catalog available on streaming platforms in 2018, Def Leppard has accumulated 5.5 billion streams. Their album "Diamond Star Halos" debuted in Billboard's Top 10, while "Drastic Symphonies" reached #4 in the UK charts.
Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark commented on Def Leppard's appeal: "Def Leppard's catalog of hits is iconic. Songs like 'Pour Some Sugar on Me,' 'Foolin'' and 'Rock of Ages' immediately have you singing along, maybe strumming an air guitar."
Tickets for the concert will be available from November 16 through Ticketmaster, with special holiday pricing until December 31. Prices range from $85 to $165 depending on seating options.
The Illinois State Fair will run from August 7 through August 17 in Springfield.
