Ruby M. Tetrault | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais

Ruby M. Tetrault, 97, of New Haven, Indiana, and formerly of Bonfield, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at her residence. Born on April 19, 1927, in Chicago to Michael J. and Lyla M. (Russell) Kelly, Ruby married Leonard “Len” Tetrault on March 15, 1947, in Chicago. Leonard preceded her in death on June 13, 2015.

A former employee of AT&T, Marshall Fields, and Sears, Ruby was actively involved in the Bourbonnais V.F.W. Auxiliary, and was a member of both the American Begonia Society and the Prairieland Day Lilly Club. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and spending time with her pets. Ruby was a member of the "The Ladies Do Nothing Club" where she cherished friendships, and above all, she deeply loved and cared for her family. Ruby held Methodist faith.

Survived by one son, Paul Tetrault of Minonk, one daughter, Audrey Tetrault of New Haven, IN, three grandchildren: Jason Tetrault, Rob Norrick, Ryan Norrick, four great-grandchildren: Mary, Katey, Sammy, Charley, and one great-great-grandchild, Josie. Preceded in death by her husband Len and parents Michael J. and Lyla M.

Visitation and a service will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes in Bourbonnais, with Reverend Scott Henley officiating. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to animal rescue or veteran assistance programs in memory of Ruby M. Tetrault via the Sympathy Store.
