Winifred J. Hughes, Beloved Mother and Irish Dance Enthusiast, Dies at 96

Winifred J. Hughes, known affectionately as Winnie, passed away at the age of 96. She was the loving mother of John, Thomas, Patrick Hughes, Una Provenzano, and Mary McQuillan, as well as a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Hughes was a devoted member of the Galway Fellowship Club, a Chicago Blackhawks fan, and a beloved figure in the Irish Dance community.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Curley Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at St. Christina Church, with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
