Gilbert T. Valdez, US Army and Navy Veteran, Passes Away at 95

Gilbert T. Valdez, a veteran of the US Army and Navy, peacefully passed away at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Valdez and a loving father to Marilyn Whalen, John Valdez, Grace Masson-Cline, and the late Mario Valdez. Valdez was a cherished grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was the son of Santiago and Juana Valdez and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Thursday at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, with a private interment at St. Mary Cemetery. For more information, contact (708) 422-2700 or visit www.curleyfuneralhome.com.
