James L. Gadzinski, 70, Remembered for Love of Family, Sports, and Golf

James L. Gadzinski | Vandenberg Funeral Home - Tinley Park

Tinley Park, Illinois - James L. Gadzinski, 70, of Tinley Park, IL, passed away on January 21, 2025. A devoted parishioner at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church in Tinley Park, James was known for his passion for golf, sports, and craft beers. He had a special interest in college football, March Madness, and the Chicago Cubs, and enjoyed spending time grilling with loved ones.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Joann Gadzinski nee Lynch, and his loving daughters, Robin Harris and Aimee Pritchett. He was a cherished grandfather to Emilie Harris (fiancée Patrick Ihnat) and Daniel Harris, and a caring brother to Peter (Mary) Gadzinski and Kathryn (Donald) Brownell. James was preceded in death by his dear parents, Leonard and Dorothy Gadzinski, his sister Sheryl Gadzinski, and his cherished grandparents, Irene and Stephen Adams. He will also be remembered as a fun uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and as a breakfast buddy to cousins Dorene, David, and Mary.

Visitation for James will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60477. A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church, following prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Tumor Institute at Northwestern Medicine.
