A $150,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold at Casey’s General Store in Clinton, Illinois. The store is located at 1161 West State Highway 54 in the town of Clinton, approximately 40 miles west of Champaign. The winner matched four out of five numbers plus the Powerball in Wednesday's drawing. The numbers drawn were 24-28-40-63-65 with a Powerball number of 20.

The winning ticket cost $2, and the player opted for an additional $1 to include the Power Play feature, which tripled their prize to $150,000. The winner has one year from the draw date to claim their prize. They are advised by the Illinois Lottery to sign their name on the back of the ticket and keep it secure until claiming.

Over 14,000 winning tickets were purchased for this particular draw by Illinois Lottery players, resulting in more than $246,000 in prizes distributed. For selling the winning ticket, Casey’s General Store will receive a bonus of one percent of the prize amounting to $1,500.

Casey’s General Store previously sold a $450,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket in March 2023. So far this year, over 413,000 winning Powerball tickets have been sold across Illinois with total prizes exceeding $4.5 million.

Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evening at 9:59 PM CT. The upcoming jackpot for Saturday night's draw is estimated at $320 million. Tickets can be bought in-store or online via the Illinois Lottery website or app.

March marks Problem Gambling Awareness Month. Players are encouraged by the Illinois Lottery to "Set A Limit and Stick To It." More information on responsible gaming is available on their website.

Since its inception in 1974, the Illinois Lottery has contributed over $25 billion to K-12 public education through the State's Common School Fund. Nearly all proceeds from lottery sales benefit this fund as per state law.
