Chicago Ridge, Illinois - Bernadette Genevieve Pavlik, age 80, passed away on March 4, 2025. She was the loving mother of Helen and the late Lawrence Pavlik, and the cherished Baba of Cain Verderber, Danielle, and Delaney Pavlik. Bernadette was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Wagner and the sister of Frances (late Dr. Richard) Moon, Michael (late Joyce) Wagner, Barbie Wagner Meistas, the late Alexandria Wagner, and the late Frank J. (Janet) Wagner. She was a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Bernadette was a graduate of St. Augustine High School in Chicago and continued her education at the University of Chicago Circle Campus before earning her Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from St. Xavier University. She proudly retired after a fulfilling career with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Known for her love of animals, Bernadette was a beloved dog mom to Snoochie, Cujo, Greta, and Frankie. She will be remembered for her dedication to her work, her commitment to child development, and her love of her family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service scheduled for Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at the Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Ridge Church, Chicago Ridge.
