Alan M. Tomaska, 69, of Blue Island, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. He is survived by his brother David Tomaska, nephew David Tomaska Jr., and great-nephew Harley Tomaska. Alan had a deep connection to Thatcher Island, where he served as a lighthouse keeper each October, appreciating the island's nature and history. A skilled carpenter, Alan's work reflected precision and care. Cremation will be private, with the burial of his cremains at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
