Roy Clifford Anderson, 92, Remembered for Love of Family and Dedication to Service

Roy Clifford Anderson, 92, of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Marlene Ann Anderson and a loving father to Rhonda Julliano, Roy A., Sandra Harkenrider, and Ron. Roy was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.

A dedicated employee of U.S. Steel and a U.S. Army veteran, Roy was cherished by many and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents Gustave and Amanda Anderson, and his siblings. Known for his commitment to service, love for his family, and dedication to his work, Roy's impact on those he touched will endure.

Visitation will be held on March 14th at Smits Funeral Home in Dyer, IN, and a funeral service will take place on March 15 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in South Holland, IL. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Alsip, IL. Memorial contributions in Roy's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
