Janet M. Kennedy (nee Wilkins), passed away on March 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Kevin and loving mother of Michael, Shawn, and Kyle. Janet was the proud Nana of Geoffrey, Zachary, Morgan, and Brody. She was the devoted daughter of the late Emil and Geraldine Wilkins, and the dear sister of the late Michelle Menard.

Janet received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Illinois Elks Association in 1999-2000 and was recognized as the Lady Elk of the Year in 2001-2002 and the past First Lady of the Illinois Elks Association in 2011-2012. She also served as a fond aunt to Christina, Louie, and Jesus Zizumbo, and great-aunt to Louis, Gabriel, J.P., and Genesis.

Visitation for Janet will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from Curley Funeral Home to Our Lady of the Ridge Church for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.
