Raised near Midway Airport, LaVerne attended Gage Park High School and had a deep love for travel, having visited various exotic locations. She met Ted at a Polka club, and they shared a life full of love and family until his passing. LaVerne's home in Oak Lawn was the center of their loving family life. She worked at Hannum grammar school as a secretary for 29 years, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
Known for her love of animals, gardening, and casino outings, LaVerne remained deeply involved in St. Germaine Parish, notably with the Courage Program. Her dedication to counseling young people and organizing events exemplified her kindness and generosity. LaVerne's unwavering devotion to her family was at the core of who she was.
Family and friends can pay their respects at Curley Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23rd from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 24th at St. Germaine Parish.
