Theodore William Pevitts, affectionately known as Teddy, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, in Palos, Illinois, at the age of 81. Born on February 11, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Theodore's life was marked by dedication to family, service in the United States Air Force, and a successful career in the steel industry.

A graduate of St. Mel's High School, Theodore's strong work ethic and commitment to his community were evident throughout his life. After his military service, he became the owner of Regency Steel Corporation, showcasing his leadership and generosity in both professional and personal endeavors.

Theodore had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and boating, and shared his love for sports with friends and family. Above all, he was a devoted family man, survived by his wife, Diane, daughters Roxanne Stenhouse and Rebecca Lara, son-in-law David Stenhouse, grandchildren Logan, Felicia, and Cole Lara, and great-granddaughter Lilliana Gavin. Theodore is also survived by his brother Robert Pevitts and godchild Rob Pevitts.

His wisdom, nurturing presence, and selflessness left a lasting impact on those around him. Theodore's generosity and commitment to making a positive impact on others will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. Flowers or memorial trees can be sent through the floral store in memory of Theodore.
