Salvador Soto Granados, known for his wit, intellect, and boundless love, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Plainfield, at the age of 81. Born on December 4, 1943, in Mexico, to the late Salvador Soto and Beatriz Granados, he radiated joy and affection to those around him.

Salvador led a life marked by dedication in both professional and personal spheres. After retiring as a CTA bus driver, he became the proud owner of Midwest Global Trucking Company, known for his hard work and integrity.

An avid racquetball player, Salvador enjoyed good food, dancing, and being surrounded by loved ones. His legacy is carried on by his beloved wife Anna, daughters Erika and Sonia, and grandchildren Olivia, Natalia, Mia, Sebastian, Alexa, Logan, and Mateo.

Those who knew Salvador remember him as funny, intelligent, and loving, with the ability to light up a room with humor, challenge minds, and comfort hearts. His absence will be deeply felt, but his impact on the world was profoundly positive.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral is scheduled for Monday, March 17, 2025, with prayers starting at 9:00 a.m. followed by a procession to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission in Willow Springs for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice. A beautiful memorial tree can be planted in Salvador's memory through the Tree Store.
