Jan Zieliński, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away at age 67 on March 21, 2025, in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Born on June 14, 1957, in Dunajec, Poland, Jan was known for his loving nature, thoughtfulness, and exceptional handiness, which endeared him to all who knew him.

Jan's formative years in Poland instilled in him a strong work ethic and dedication to education, pursuing his studies with vigor. Upon emigrating to the United States, Jan adapted to his new surroundings while staying connected to his roots, embracing his heritage with stories and traditions. His professional life included a tenure as a railroad motors mechanic, where his technical expertise and commitment to safety earned him respect among colleagues.

Survived by his wife Małgorzata, children Franek and Lucyna, grandson Kamil, and sisters Zofia, Frania, and Marysia, Jan was known for his loving relationships and unwavering support. His life was a testament to love, kindness, and his ability to fix anything broken.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, with prayers at 9:00 a.m., followed by a procession to Saint Fabian Church in Bridgeview for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Jan Zieliński will be remembered for his love, integrity, and enduring impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Flowers or memorial trees can be sent through the floral store in memory of Jan.
