Joann Duffy, a 37-year employee at AT&T and widow of retired lieutenant Michael R. Duffy, has died at age 83. She was the daughter of Anthony Russo and Mary Jane McGinnis, and sister of Loretta McCarthy. Joann is survived by her niece and nephew, Daniel McCarthy and Clare Marlin; stepdaughters Darlene McNicholas and Shirley Deliberto; grandchildren Colleen Walczak, Maureen McDevitt, Patrick Deliberto, and Patrick Duffy; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Joann Duffy will be held on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park. The funeral will take place on Saturday at 10:45 a.m., with a Mass following at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church. The burial will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry.
