Andrzej Fiedor, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, Olympian, and skilled carpenter craftsman, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 24, 2025, at his daughter's home in Homer Glen, Illinois. Born on January 2, 1946, in Koniówka, Poland, Andrzej's life was a tapestry of passion, dedication, and achievement, reflected in his craftsmanship and athletic pursuits. He is survived by his devoted daughter Maria Leja, her husband Tadeusz Leja, grandchildren Daniel Leja, Paul Leja, Annette Leja, great-granddaughter Gemma Leja, sister Maria Mola, husband Jozef Mola, nephews Wojciech Mola with wife Julia, and Andrzej Mola with wife Kristen.

Andrzej's legacy extends beyond his woodworking skills and remarkable carpentry work, encompassing his deep passion for music, cultural preservation, and athletic endeavors. As a biathlete, he represented Poland in two Winter Olympics, showcasing his athletic prowess and unwavering spirit. His leadership as the president of koło Zakopane fostered a strong community dedicated to tradition and camaraderie.
