John "Jack" F. Donohue | Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home

John "Jack" F. Donohue, 89, of Park Forest, Illinois, a United States Marine Corps Veteran and advertising executive, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, at Smith Crossing Senior Living. Born in Chicago on June 30, 1935, Jack served in the Marines and later graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Business. He married Peg (nee Margaret Doyle) in 1960 and together they raised their family in Park Forest.

Working for over 40 years as an advertising executive, including at BBDO, Jack was known for his dedication to clients and community. In his later years, he and Peg moved to Fennville, Michigan, enjoying time with loved ones at their home on Hutchins Lake.

Survived by his wife Peg and their children Karen Ercole (Steve), John (Anne), Paul (Susan), and Susan Davies (Robert), as well as grandchildren Danielle, Steven, Hannah, Sarah, and Drew, Jack will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who brought joy and laughter to those around him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Robert J. Sheehy & Son's Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Jack's name can be made to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) at 150 N. Michigan Ave #600, Chicago, IL 60601.
