Illinois has announced a change in the Motor Fuel Use Tax rate, which will be effective from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. This tax consists of two parts, Part A and Part B, as specified under "35 ILCS 505/13a." The tax is applicable to licensees operating under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and must be reported and paid accordingly.

The new rates will apply for the specified period on quarterly IFTA returns. All relevant licensees are advised to take note of these changes for compliance purposes.
