ORLAND PARK, IL - Mary "Maga" Boland, affectionately known by her loved ones, passed away at 87, a native of Curradavitt Louisburgh, Co. Mayo in Ireland. She was the cherished wife of 53 years to the late Michael "Flann" Boland.

A devoted mother, Mary leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Mary Ann (Gabriel) Dunican, Michael (Charlene) Boland, and Eileen (Patrick) Hoey. She adored her grandchildren Gabriellen, John, Hannah (Tim), James (Andrea), Owen, Jasmine (Thomas), and Nicholas (Sasha), and rejoiced in her role as a treasured great-grandmother to Logan, Carter, Adeline, Mason, Michaela Mary, and Timothy Patrick.

Mary was the daughter of the late James and Nellie O'Grady. She was a beloved sister to her large family, with fond memories shared among her siblings and their spouses.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, commencing at 9:30 a.m. at Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL, proceeding to St. Gerald Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m.

Mary will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Coletta’s of Illinois at www.stcolettasofil.org are appreciated.
