Mary E. Karn, aged 98, of Homer Township, peacefully passed away at The Cottages of New Lenox, surrounded by her loving family. A longstanding member of the community, she was involved with St. Joseph Church in Lockport, Homer Township Seniors, the Lemont Senior Association, and dedicated her time to the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of America.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Karn Sr., parents Harry and Katheryn Paulsen, daughters-in-law Deborah Karn and Claudia Karn, brothers Richard and Robert Paulsen, and sister Kay Christensen. She is survived by her children William Jr., Gary, John, Jeffery, and Cheryl, along with numerous cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Karn family expresses gratitude to Mary's caregiver, Michelle Condra, for her exceptional care over the past two years. Memorials in Mary's honor may be directed to St. Joseph Church in Lockport. A private Mass of Christian Burial and interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery was held with her immediate family.
