Hollis Weller, aged 47, of Beecher, passed away on May 16, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Cathleen, and children Maddy, Avery, and Landon. Hollis was the cherished son of Sandy and Morris Weller, and a dear brother to Monica, Clayton, and Karl. He was also a caring brother-in-law and adored uncle to many.

Hollis was a Sergeant with the Joliet Police Department for two decades, dedicating his life to the protection and service of his community. An avid Iowa Hawkeyes football fan, he took delight in cheering on his favorite team. Passionate about firearms, Hollis shared his expertise as a firearms instructor. He enjoyed bourbon, writing, riding his Harley Davidson, music, and relaxing by the beach or pool. An animal lover, he adored his dog Roscoe.

Family was at the center of Hollis's life. Whether coaching his children, attending their sporting events, or simply spending time together, his greatest happiness came from his loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, donations to his children's Education Fund are appreciated. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 3-8 PM at Hickey Memorial Chapel in New Lenox, IL. Hollis Weller will be remembered for his service, passion, and unwavering dedication to his family.
