Dale A. VanKuren | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais

Dale A. VanKuren, aged 54, of Bourbonnais, passed away on May 21, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on December 29, 1970, in Kankakee, Dale was the son of Allan VanKuren and Donna Schultz. He married DeAnna Heflin on August 5, 1995, at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church.

For 18 years, Dale worked in dry mix at Bunge before transitioning to a Rebar fabricator at Nucor for the last 9 years. His dedication allowed him to support his wife, daughter, and son through various levels of higher education. Actively involved in the Knights of Columbus 7072 Notre Dame council, Dale exemplified service to his community. Dale enjoyed fishing, golfing, and any activity that involved the people he loved, making cherished memories with his family.

An engaged parishioner of Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church, Dale's commitment to faith and family was unwavering. He is survived by his wife DeAnna, children Emily and Jacob, parents Allan and Donna, grandchild Riddhi, siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, and his Nucor family.

Cremation rites have been accorded, with a memorial visitation on May 28, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, followed by a memorial service and inurnment at All Saints Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Uplifted Care, Maternity B.V.M. Food Pantry, or the ALS Association to honor Dale's memory and generosity.

Dale A. VanKuren will be remembered for his love of family, dedication to community service, and his legacy of kindness and support for others.
