Elaine, who was the daughter of Margaret Conrad and Henry Nowicki, and the sister of Margaret Nowicki, leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and warmth. She is survived by her sons William and Robert Schlusemann, daughters-in-law Cathy and Sharon Schlusemann, former daughter-in-law Lisa Wilson, grandchildren Trevor, Benjamin, Cody, Casey, and Cole Schlusemann, granddaughters-in-law Gabrielle Casillas and Jessica Schlusemann, and great-granddaughters Brooklyn and Isabella Schlusemann - all of whom held a special place in her heart and brought immense joy to her life.
Elaine dedicated her early career to the service of others, initially working as a nurse's assistant with Dominican Sisters Rosary Hill Convalescent Home before transitioning into the role of a grocery cashier. Her warmth and friendliness endeared her to colleagues and customers alike, making her a beloved figure within the community.
A woman of diverse interests, Elaine enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching movies, crocheting, and solving crossword puzzles. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. Her love for breakfast gatherings and close family bonds shone through in every moment shared with her loved ones.
Elaine will be fondly remembered for her kindness, compassion, and selfless nature. She had a gift for making others feel loved and valued, embodying the very essence of generosity and care. Her legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
As family and friends bid farewell to Elaine Margaret Schlusemann, they do so with gratitude for the moments shared, the lessons learned, and the love she bestowed upon each individual she encountered.
