8:30 – 8:45 1. Welcome, January Meeting Recap, and Agenda for Current Meeting

Following welcome and introductions, we will review the January 2025 meeting summary and agenda for the current meeting.

8:45 – 9:15 2. ISBE Updates

ISBE will provide relevant updates that affect TAC work.

9:15 – 10:45 3. Unified Standard Setting Update

Pearson will review the work completed since January to develop the standardsetting methodology further and prepare for the July event. The TAC will provide feedback to inform any final refinements to the methodology.

10:45 – 11:00 BREAK

11:00 – 12:00 4. Academic Growth

The Center will provide updates on its work to study growth computations given the shift from PSAT and ACT to Pre-ACT and ACT. The TAC will provide feedback to help identify technically defensible and feasible practices, including a plan for ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

12:00 – 1:00 LUNCH

1:00 – 2:15 5. Review of IAR Equating and Scaling

Pearson will provide a review of their methods to equate and scale the IAR in 2025. The TAC is asked to provide feedback to help ISBE and its contractors ensure the methods are consistent with professionally accepted practices and that regular monitoring and evaluation are in place.

2:45 – 4:15 6. Comparability Review ** CLOSED SESSION **

In this session, the Center will review methods and analyses to further explore the comparability of the IAR from 2022 to 2024.

8:30 – 10:15 7. Accountability Topics

The Center and ISBE will discuss work to investigate new approaches to accountability aggregation, as well as ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the accountability system.

Discussion questions for TAC:

1. How can we integrate the custom dynamic report proof of concept, approaches to develop empirical clusters of schools, and a profiles-based school designation system to inform the redesigned accountability system?

2. What distinct use cases should the custom dynamic report serve?

3. What should be the relationship between (a) the profiles that determine school designations (e.g., the rules that place a school in “commendable”) and (b) the outcomes of empirical clustering?

4. What are promising approaches to representing and communicating profiles of schools, both in general (e.g., the profile for "commendable"), and specifically (e.g., the profile for your school)?

ISBE and the TAC will identify action items from the meeting and priorities for follow-up.
