Effective July 1, 2025, Public Act (P.A.) 104-0006 will implement an increase in the annual Tobacco Retailer License fee for businesses selling tobacco products. This change affects new applications and renewals submitted on or after this date.

The license fee will rise from $75 to $150 per location where tobacco products are sold at retail. The new fee must accompany applications or renewals through MyTax Illinois at mytax.illinois.gov.
