The Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC) has opened registration for its virtual Book Club workshops. These sessions are available exclusively to residents of Illinois.

The workshops, led by authors, are aimed at interpreters, parents, administrators, teachers of the deaf in K-12, and professionals working with deaf and hard of hearing students. The initiative is supported by a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Participants will receive Illinois continuing education credits applicable to licensed interpreters approved by ISBE. Additionally, in collaboration with the Illinois School for the Deaf Outreach, ISBE Professional Development and Early Intervention credits will be offered. Each session is also approved for RID CEUs.

A complimentary hard copy of the book will be given to the first 500 registered participants.

Those interested are encouraged to share this information with colleagues to maximize awareness about this opportunity.
