Chicago Ridge, IL - John "Jack" Dorris, a retired Chicago Police Officer, passed away on June 29, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family. Jack was the loving husband of Jean (nee Meagher) for 52 years and a cherished father to John (Tina) Dorris, Kathleen (Brian) Sendt, and Kelly (David) Navarro. He took pride in his role as a grandfather to Matthew and Abigal Dorris, Alexis Navarro, and Maxwell Sendt. Jack was a dear friend to many.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of prayers and Military Honors at 7:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge. Interment will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
