Nicholas Spano, 92, a U.S. Army Veteran, passed away. Beloved husband of the late Joan B. Spano (nee Vanderplow) and loving father of Joseph (late Isabel) and John Spano. Cherished grandfather of Joseph (Carrie), Nicholas (Suzy), and Gina (Christopher) Domjan, and proud great-grandfather of 8. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, Nicholas retired from the Belt Railway Company of Chicago.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL, to Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
