Rodolfo “Rudy” Nunez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away on July 4, 2025, at his Summit, Illinois home. His life, born on January 28, 1948, in Yuriria, Guanajuato, Mexico, was characterized by his generosity, humor, and wisdom that guided his family and friends throughout his journey.

Rudy, a former teacher, found joy in spending time with his family, instilling values of kindness, education, and faith in his loved ones. He had a passion for the beach, garage tinkering, and always offering a helping hand to others. His wit and wisdom brought laughter and solace to those around him, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

As we say goodbye to Rudy, his memory will continue to bring comfort and joy to those who were touched by his presence. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Arminda; daughters, Rocio and Maribel; granddaughters Alessandra, Daniella, and Delilah, and the many friends and family members whose lives he enriched.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Mass at Saint Blase Church (Blessed Martyrs of Chimbote Parish) in Summit, Illinois, following prayers and procession at 9:00 a.m. Cremation rites will follow.
