Rose Marie Darnieder, formerly Piazza, at the age of 91, peacefully departed on June 29, 2025. She is now reunited with her beloved late husband, Jerry Darnieder. Rose was a nurturing mother and loving figure to her children and grandchildren, embodying warmth and care throughout her life.

Survived by her devoted daughters Maria (Nabil) Rizk, Debbie (Khalil) Sakalla, and Jean Darnieder, Rose was cherished by her grandchildren: Christina (Brent Kitchen) Rizk, Monica Rizk, Lena Sakalla, Andy Sakalla, Kristi Darnieder, and Kelly Darnieder. She now joins her late siblings Anthony, Sal, and Jackie, leaving behind numerous loving nieces and nephews to uphold memories of her kindness.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Curley Funeral Home, located at 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge. A Mass will follow at St. Christina Church, where those gathered will offer prayers and reflections in her honor at 11:30 a.m. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream of the Mass can be accessed using the following link: https://www.asimplestreaming.com/rmdarnieder. Rose will find her final resting place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
