Raymond Francis Jachim, 87, known as Ray, peacefully passed away on July 14, 2025, surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and loved ones. He was born on May 17, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois. Ray, an esteemed Master Diesel Technician, dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career and community service.

Ray served honorably in the US Army and subsequently held leadership roles at several companies, promoting workplace safety and fostering strong community relations. His commitment extended beyond retirement, as he served as an Auxiliary Police Officer in Bridgeview, ensuring public safety during community events. Ray was an exemplary member of the Bridgeview Lions Club for 50 years, embodying the spirit of Lionism and making a positive impact in his community.

Ray’s dedication to public service extended to his roles on school boards, demonstrating his commitment to the educational welfare of the community's children. His steadfast support of humanitarian causes and unwavering dedication to community improvement reflected his selfless nature.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Ray was known for his passion for music, sharing melodies with family, and friends. His love and guidance will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Ray’s memory will be cherished as a beacon of generosity, integrity, and service to others.

Visitation will be held at the Sagrada Familia Funeral Home in Burbank, Illinois, on Monday, July 28, 2025, followed by a funeral service and interment at Bethania Cemetery in Justice, Illinois. Ray’s legacy of compassion and community engagement will continue to inspire future generations. May he rest in peace.
