Carol M. English (nee Gley), who was born on December 22, 1945, and passed away on July 21, 2025. She is survived by her daughter Janet (Jeffery) Hicks; grandson Jacob (Ayla) Hicks; great grandsons Morgen and Zane Hicks; sister-in-law Marlene (the late William) Fischer; William Jr.; Michelle (Chris) Bruciak; brothers Davi (Judy) Gley, Robert (Luann) Gley, Charles (Janice) Fischer, and sister Diana (Dondi) Fischer-Nueva; along with many nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband John English, her grandson Joseph Hicks, brother William Fischer, and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Thursday starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Chapel Service at 11:15 a.m. at Curley Funeral Home, located at 6116 W. 111th Street, Chicago Ridge. The funeral will follow at 11:45 a.m. to Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
