Maureen Bridget Rakowski, the beloved wife of the late Raymond Rakowski, was a loving mother to Doreen (William) Sanderson, Cheryl (Gary) Swanson, and Mary Karyl (Donald) Duffy. She was a dear grandmother to Scott Swanson, Nick (Lauren) Swanson, Derek (Amanda) Sanderson, Joseph (Nicole) Swanson, Ryan Duffy, Alex (Ashley) Swanson, Lindsay Duffy, Zachary (Autumn) Swanson, and Brendan Duffy. Maureen was a devoted great-grandmother to Siena, Oliver, Luca, Lawson, Charlie, Adeline, Blakely, Caysen, Brylee, and Ryker. She was the cherished daughter of James and Norah Hackett and a loving sister to Patricia (Wallace) Englehart, Clare Prentice, Margaret Hackett, Elizabeth (Thomas) Navickas, the late Catherine (Richard) Meuris, and the late Patrick (Virginia) Hackett. Maureen was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Maureen will be held on Sunday from 12-5 P.M., with the funeral scheduled for Monday at 9:30 A.M. at Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park, IL. The service will continue at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Church at 10 A.M. for Mass, followed by interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
